Onboarding the IDP Joint Services

An overview of the onboarding process for the IDP Joint Services

The onboarding process for the IDP Joint Services has been designed to keep it as simple as possible for both institutions and their ambassadors, so that onboarding is completed quickly and there is support available at all times during this process. The steps required to onboard the services differ slightly depending on whether or not you already have a subscription of The Ambassador Platform (TAP). Read on below for a summary of each.

I'm a current TAP customer - how do I complete onboarding and enable my ambassadors to be part of the joint services?

  1. Fill out the sign-up form here
  2. A member of TAP's Customer Success Team will be in touch to invite you to a 30m call to give you an overview of the service(s) you signed up for, detail how they will work, give you an opportunity to ask any further questions and outline where you can find the training materials for your ambassadors.
  3. You need to send your selected ambassadors the relevant training videos and articles.
  4. Your ambassadors need to confirm with you once they have watched the training videos and read through the help articles.
  5. You switch the relevant toggles on for these ambassadors from within your Admin Dashboard:

    Total estimated time to onboard:
    Maximum 1.5 hours.

How does it work if I don't have a current subscription with TAP?

  1. Fill out the sign-up form here
  2. A member of TAP's Customer Success Team will contact you to schedule a 1-hour call. During this call, you will receive an overview of TAP and the services you have signed up for. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to discuss your recruitment and marketing priorities. The team will provide guidance on recruiting ambassadors if you do not already have them, show you how to onboard them onto the platform, and supply all the necessary training materials for your ambassadors.
  3. We will invite you to be an admin on a TAP account created specifically for your institution.
  4. You'll need a minimum of 5 ambassadors so if you don't have any students in mind, you'll first need to recruit a team of ambassadors
  5. Feel free to then use and edit this email template to invite your ambassadors onto the platform.
  6. You'll be notified by email when new ambassadors sign up for you and you will need to switch the relevant toggles on for these ambassadors from within your Admin Dashboard:

    Total estimated time to onboard:
    - Maximum 3.5 hours if you have an existing ambassador programme.
    - Maximum 12 hours if you do not have existing ambassador programme,
(taking into account writing a job description for the role, advertising, interviewing and selecting ambassadors, and finally training them).
