A brief overview of how and why to use GTM on your Feed.
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag management system (TMS) that allows you to quickly and easily update measurement codes and related code fragments, collectively known as tags, on your website or mobile app.
You might want to integrate GTM in order to get more information on user behaviour on the Feed, and to create usage funnels to understand more about how your prospects are interacting with the platform.
Your Feed supports GTM. The following IDs are assigned to elements on the Feed:
-
visits Feed (loads TAP Page in DOM):
-
clicks 'chat to me' on a profile card or ambassador profile page (where ***** is each button's unique ambassador ID):
-
clicks a profile card link to a profile (where ***** is each profile card's unique ambassador ID):
-
starts registration (chat window):
-
submits personal info:
-
submit optional data:
-
send message:
You can integrate GTM easily by adding the data-gtm HTML attribute to your existing Feed iframe code, for example:
<iframe src="" data-gtm="GTM-XXXXXX" ... />
where GTM-XXXXXX is your GTM ID.
Your GTM container will be loaded wherever the data-gtm attribute is in the iframe code.
You then need to configure your GTM account to track clicks and events on supported elements. This article (external link) offers more technical information on how to correctly configure GTM.
Google also provides an overview (external link) of the various ways in which GTM can be configured to fire tags.
