What's Involved for University Partners in the IDP Student Community?
Participating in the IDP Student Community only requires light but consistent engagement from university teams. The goal is to enable your ambassadors to thrive, keep your presence active within the Community, and support prospective and offer‑holding students with confidence and clarity. It takes minutes per week, not hours.
Your Core Responsibilities
As a university partner, your involvement focuses on four main activity areas:
1. Supporting Your Ambassadors
This is very light-touch and involves the primary responsibility:
- Being available if ambassadors need help answering a specific student question
This shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes a week.
2. Nudging Ambassadors About Content
Your team can:
- View upcoming content requests from IDP
- See which ambassadors have responded
- Gently nudge ambassadors to submit content if needed
This is a low‑touch, ~5‑minute weekly task.
3. Managing Your University‑Specific Offer Holder Group Chat
Your university will have one dedicated group chat for offer‑holders considering your institution. Within this space, you can:
- Welcome new offer holders
- Answer simple questions
- Keep conversations on track
- Ensure a positive environment for prospective enrollees
This requires roughly 15 minutes per week.
4. Onboarding and Maintaining Ambassadors
Your initial setup includes:
- Recruiting or selecting ambassadors (2–10 hours depending on readiness)
- Sharing the training materials provided by IDP with your ambassadors
Ongoing ambassador management is minimal once established.
What IDP Does
IDP supports your team by:
- Providing training materials for both admins and ambassadors
- Managing the Community space and moderating the IDP group chats
- Ensuring the space is well safeguarded
- Curating and sending content requests to your ambassadors
- Running active marketing campaigns to drive traffic to the Community
