What is the IDP Student Community?

The IDP Student Community is a strategic, peer‑to‑peer engagement environment embedded across IDP.com, IDP Hotcourses, and the IDP Live app. It is designed to support students throughout their entire journey with IDP by connecting them with peers, experienced student ambassadors, helpful content, and online events.

What the Community Is

The IDP Student Community is a holistic support ecosystem where prospective, applied, and offer‑holding students can:
  • Chat 1‑to‑1 with student ambassadors to get authentic insights on academic and student life.
  • Connect with other students at similar stages through peer‑to‑peer conversations.
  • Join themed group chats on topics such as course choices, destinations, and career planning.
  • Access experience‑based content, including stories, tips, and milestone‑based guidance created with ambassadors.
  • View recordings of useful webinars from university partners.

Why It Exists

The Community is being developed as part of IDP’s strategic response to changing student behaviour:

  • Build early demand for institutions via ambassador‑generated content.

  • Convert students through trust‑building conversations that complement IDP’s conversion products.

While the features of the Community will remain consistent, the student experience and interface may evolve as IDP continues optimising for engagement and conversion. Updates may affect placement, sequencing, or visibility of features.
