This article outlines how you can create private group chats on TAP.
To create private group chats on TAP, you need to first have created a Community space.
Communities are closed environments where prospective students can not only engage with your ambassadors, their content and any streams you have made available, but they can also engage with one another. Read our article here to learn more about Community.
The reasons you may want to create a private group chat, as opposed to one that is public and accessible via your TAP Feed, could be one of the following:
-
To support 'invite only' closed groups for students such as offer holders or applicants, to keep them nurtured through to enrolment, without needing to answer questions from students who are much earlier in their research journey.
-
To support 'invite only' closed groups for a mentoring programme.
-
To create an internal space where you can have a group chat with all of your ambassadors.
How does it work?
- Once you've created your private group chats, you can invite students to them by clicking on the 'Copy link to chat' button on the right-hand side of the group chat and then emailing your selected prospects:
- Note that if it's an internal, private group chat you're creating to converse with your ambassadors, then there's no need to email them. Once you add your ambassadors in at the point of group chat creation, they will be automatically added and notified.
