Joining multiple communities

This guide will walk you through how a student can join and access multiple community spaces.

Want to invite your prospective students to more than one community space?

For example, if a student is an offer holder for an upcoming intake (e.g. September 2025), you might first invite them to a general community space such as “September 2025 Offer Holders”. To deepen engagement, you could also invite them to a more tailored space—such as “September 2025: Business Students”.

This allows you to foster community in both broad and niche groups. Students can join and engage in both spaces—no limits.

How it works:

  • To join their first community, students click on an invitation link and either:

    • Sign up to the TAP Future Students app, or

    • Log in if they already have an account.

  • To join an additional community, they click a second (or third!) invitation link, which will add them directly to each respective community—no additional sign-up required.

🎥 Watch the screen recording below for a walkthrough:

  • New users: see the full sign-up flow of how to join your first community.

  • Existing users: skip to 2:45 to see how to join an additional community space.

What happens once a student joins multiple communities?

  • Chats, members, and inboxes are separated per community
  • Content is not shared across communities
  • Users receive push notifications from all their communities
  • Tapping a push notification takes the user directly to the specific chat in the relevant community

We look forward to seeing your digital communities thrive!
